Deep Creek Art was formed in 1995 after its founder, Deeda Cordin, decided she wanted to pursue a new career based on her art. First, it was merely a studio to produce and sell her award winning watercolor paintings and photography, but soon after it opened there was a great demand for art lessons; first for children, and then for adults. The framing and art supply business were added in 2005, when the Schweidlers store closed. An annual art show in December, featuring Deeda and other local talented artists was added last year.
